(Day 0) – Beautiful coastal drive on the 101 from Bandon Dunes in Southern Oregon to Fernbridge in Northern California.
(Day 1) – Aaron took long bike ride along Redwoods, while boys enjoyed painting logs on the property.
(Day 2) – While Aaron went on long bike ride in Ferndale, the boys and I had a field trip day. First visited Loletta Cheese Factory enjoying samples and meeting new friends in the garden.
Then off to Sequoia Zoo & Park in Eureka to check out the animals.
The last stop of the day was by far our absolute favorite – a family farm located in Ferndale, a small Victorian village. While running early in the morning, I met a woman named Jessica who kindly put me in contact with Mary Ann Bansen from Bancrest Dairy. Within hours of my phone call Mary Ann had welcomed us onto her farm, showing and providing boys with hands on experiences for which we couldn’t be more grateful!
(Day 3) – Hiked in Redwood National Park on the Fern Cannon Trail for a 10 miles.
(Day 4) – Took the Lost Coast Highway -picturesque drive and views…definitely off the beaten path and isolated for the most part.
(Day 5) – 7 hour road trip to San Jose to drop vehicle and items in a storage unit.
(Day 6) – Flight back to St. Louis! After 47 days on the road excited to see friends and family!
